Okay so I'll try not to bore you but. I was thinking about the laser show that I saw in washington and during it they explained how the lasers worked. So basically the originating light sparks the laser light and then that light bounces around creating more light but only a small fraction of that bounces exactly horizontally between the 2 mirrors inside the laser. Then one of the mirrors is only 50% mirror and 50% window so it lets out a bit of the light while the light that's left over makes more light in a never ending cycle to make a constant laser beam.
It may require a tiny bit of external energy to keep the light going, but for now lets go into theory and say that you used a less partial mirror like 90% mirror so that the laser would build up more light and let it out slower and maybe even last forever on it's own. So why not make it into a flash light. Well that wouldn't work for obvious reasons, most lasers require hazardous chemicals and are too bulky to fit in the palm of your hand.......
So if they're big and bulky but require very minimal amounts of power then why haven't big corporations with lots of money gotten one of these and put it upstairs and let the light out through a lens as an emergency lighting system for when the power goes out. Granted it only has one color but it's better than having no light and paying to run twice as many generators in the store.
So that's the first "Why haven't they done this yet???" Question.
So then I was thinking about the NIF(national ignition facility) that is supposedly making fusion energy this year. They just use very, very, long strands of doped fiber optic cables to amplify the light before all of these thousands of miles of cables and light converge on one point to create heat as intense as the center of the sun......
So the good thing about erbium doped fiber optics is that they'll amplify white light.....hmmmm so why don't we have erbium doped fiber optics along side the powerlines and telephone lines and as the light goes long distances it will get more powerful like NIF, but then we could either make money off of the light just like cable companies make money off of TV. Or god forbid have free light energy everywhere!!!!
So those are my "Why haven't they done this yet??? questions.
The only reasons I can come up with are conspiracy theories like if we had free light energy then we could convert it to electrical and that would be the end of energy dependency...BUT PLEASE JUST TELL ME, I WANT TO KNOW!

Infinite Energy Series Capacitor (IESC)
There are a plethora of factual forms of free energy. Lets wet your appetite with those first.
Lasers produce more light energy than is input into them. This is called optical amplification but is more dramatically stated as free light energy from out of nowhere.
Fusion energy is one of the holly grails of energy technology but hasn't yet been perfected. Look to the national ignition facility for more about the super laser that creates fusion level energy, which means that we may soon achieve cold fusion. This is good and bad because yes we will have infinite energy but we'll still have to pay the government for the energy indefinitely, and they will always have control over us. So a solution would be some kind of personal sized free energy device, like Mr. Fusion on back to the future, at least I wish.
But wait there's more!
Electro-static induction is so simple yet so misunderstood, it should really be called free electrical energy from the gods, because they like us so much. Place one charged object next to one uncharged object, then make the uncharged object grounded, and what do you have? In an absolutely perfect scenario, with no energy disipation, and absolute closest and highest induction, you will end up with twice as much energy as you started with. Simple right? Well to put it into practice we are almost there, but not quite. When they come out with the EEStor ultra-capacitor we will then have this theory that we can put into practice. If you were able to charge half of the plates, then ground the other half, you would have almost perfect induction, because the plates of an ultra-capacitor are the closest and highest voltage materially possible. But in order to have no energy dissipation you would need to charge then induce then store all of that energy instantly for the least energy loss. But the capacitor may keep enough of the energy for it not to matter that much. So just have a mono-charge generator(van de graaf)then charge one plate and now ground the other plate and you have more energy than you started with.
The perfect one of these would be a long string of plates. As the first plate got charged, and all of the rest of the plates are grounded, then you would induce a charge into the plate next to it, and then induce another charge into the next adjoining plate, and so on, until every plate in the series is charged, then release all of the energy at once.(Because of the electrical attraction you would need to release them all simultaneously). And it's DC energy too, Thomas Edison would be proud.
I call it the "Infinite energy series capacitor".

This would be perfect for a ray gun because the electrical energy could then be put into a laser and now you have star trek powered guns with no need for bullets. And of course you'd have the all important waiting for it to charge buzzing sounds and the blinking red light when ready. Free bullets or free energy, it's all good!
P.S. You may be able to jury rig an EESU if you could tap into each individual plate separately.

Super Laser and Energy Revolution
Here's the link to the start of a new era.
Here's another link to another way to start the energy revolution, and some drawbacks of the super laser.
It was just announced on the colbert report so I had to look it up on the internet and apparently we have created a super laser that focuses amplified ultraviolet onto a lens that then shoots the ray to a target. Almost like the death star. But that's only the tip of the iceburg. This new technology means that they can create the heat and pressure of the core of a sun but on earth in a reactor which means that we now have nuclear fusion when we focus that beam onto a container of hydrogen. Not only that but it's clean and safe energy and it's infinite and can be made from water as a fuel source. See my article on the final revolution is...
Okay that's one benefit, but there are many more not to mention undiscovered potential possibilities. One is hand held ray guns like in buck rogers. This would do away with the manufacture of bullets restriction that the gov. is starting. But this doesn't ensure that our government won't still turn on us. See this introduction to objectivism video to see why. Also what if we used this fusion energy to power a space craft that went to mars in only a week and didn't even have to wait for the orbits to align between it and earth every 2 years. And this large power source isn't contriversial to send into space like nuclear power was. Also if there is infinite energy then you could artificially warm mars or make gas out of the rocks on mars. Making terra forming possible.
One thing that they mentioned in the video link was "high energy density" research. Which I have always hypothesized could be used in certain ways to bend the physical properties of our universe. Making superconductors and super-fluids and gravity altering and diamagnetism and all superpowers possible. See: Actual hover-board and real flying car for how flying saucers will work using real science. And maybe even making aluminum able to withstand an asteroid impact and also radiation proof, in other words making long distance safe space travel possible. This is all theoretical. But look at my record, I predicted that we would find that gravity distorts time in my very first article ever, which I recently found out was proven by the shapiro delay. And this was why the outer galaxy only appears to move faster. Therefor no dark matter exists. Also see: general relativity for more on subjects like this. Also see: How all of the project serpo technology works for more of my wild ass theories.
This also means that we can all fly when we have other energy sources that power our jet packs indefinitely and we can migrate like the birds or live the high life by flying in food to exotic locals. This in essence puts an end to scraping to make ends meet when all we need to worry about is paying for food and devices. We will now have time and money which equals fun. Or self actualization as Maslow's hierarchy of needs describes.
Later added: In reality we will still have to pay for the energy coming from the fusion reactor because even if it's free after the machine is built there is still going to be a bill in the same way that there is still a bill for cable and phone service indefinitely after the system is built. But at least we have a higher standard of living now than we used to, even if we still pay bills.
The only way we will ever truly have cheap inexhaustible energy is if we have personal energy systems(I call it PES) This way after you first pay for the device it will produce infinite energy for you after the initial production cost. The old rule still holds true that "nothing is free", it can only become cheap or affordable.
